Packed house for Nick and Mark in conversation at the Orkney Theatre

A packed house greeted Nick and Mark at the Orkney Theatre last night, when they took to the stage for the Orkney Archaeology Society “in conversation” event.

With fieldwork now complete, the pair reminisced about the past 20 years of digging at the Ness and looked to the ongoing post-excavation phase, as well as some plans for other work on site. For those who were unable to attend, the event was recorded and will be available on the OAS YouTube channel in due course.

The evening began with the premiere of a film by Mark Jenkins, financed by OAS, on last summer’s major Ness exhibition in the Orkney Museum. This will also be posted to the society’s YouTube channel.
